GOUT REMEDIES
1. DIET
* Avoid, or limit, high-purine foods- red meat, seafood (octopus, sardines, herring, mackerel, mussels, scallops, trout, anchovies, tuna), goose, duck, poultry, gravy, beef broth, kidneys, mushrooms, cheese, milk, eggs, nuts, beans, lentils, peas, spinach, asparagus, soy milk, yeast, all foods rich in protein (animal and vegetable sources).
Avoid very low calorie diets, as this causes an increase in the production of uric acid.
Avoid fructose.
Consume low-purine foods- fruits, vegetables, potatoes, sweet potatoes, pumpkin, brown rice, white bread, cereals, macaroni, coffee, tea, cocoa, eggs, oils, butter, olives, honey, vinegar, pickles, peanuts, foods low in protein.
Keep your body at a normal healthy weight.
2. DEPENDENCIES
Avoid alcohol.
Avoid drugs.
Avoid diuretics.
3. VITAMIN C
Taking high doses of Vitamin C (in excess of 1,500mg daily) actually lowers the risk of getting Gout by up to 40%, and reduces the levels of uric acid in the body.
4. BLACK CHERRY JUICE
Black Cherry juice is one of the world’s healthiest juices, due to its unique (high level) antioxidant content, which reduces uric acid levels in the body. Drinking one single glass of Black Cherry juice daily can lower your uric acid levels a lot.
5. CHERRIES
Eat a handful of Cherries every day.
6. BAKING SODA
Half a teaspoon of Baking Soda in a glass of water, taken 3 times each day, is one of the main cures for Gout. Drink the Baking Soda mix before going to sleep, first thing when you get up in the morning, and during the day (one hour before, or after, lunch). You can take more than this, however, the maximum amount is 3 teaspoons of Baking Soda each day. This remedy can be effective after only 1 -2 hours of taking your first Baking Soda drink.
